Cohort of firms join Digital Catapult’s Machine Intelligence Garage program
A collection of startups have joined the Machine Intelligence Garage programme, led by the AI and machine learning firm, Digital Catapult.
The programme will give startups access to computational power, with the help of conglomerates like Google, through its Cloud Platform, and Amazon, with its Web Services.
Intellisense and Predina, both digital manufacturing startup companies, have joined the initiative, along with healthcare firms Cambridge Bio-Augmentation Systems and GTN, and the natural language processer, Bloomsbury AI.
The three year-long programme has also partnered with Graphcore, Nvidia, SpiNNaker, and the Science and Technology Facilities Council’s Hartree Centre.
“Machine Intelligence Garage is part of a broad programme at Digital Catapult to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence technologies across UK companies and industries, with particular applications in areas like digital manufacturing or the creative industries where there are potential large gains in growth and productivity,” said Digital Catapult’s Chief Technology Officer, Dr Marko Balabanovic.
“Members of the first cohort have been carefully selected for their innovative use cases in AI, ethical values and ambition,” he added.
“We’re confident that their journey with the Machine Intelligence Garage will provide them with the support, expertise and compute resource they need to reach their full potential.”
