Packaging giant Smurfit Kappa is hosting The Americas Innovation Event in Dallas on the 21st of September. It is the first one hosted by the organisation, and will bring together its North American and Latin American customers to highlight the future of packaging with exhibitions and details of innovations.

The event follows a number of successful European events throughout Europe, where customers came together to see how packaging could improve their businesses. Smurfit Kappa wishes to consolidate its presence in America with its industry leadership, bolstered by the recent opening of its first regional Experience Center, also in Dallas. The Experience Centers allow customers a hands-on experience of how packaging impacts the supply chain; two more will be opened later this year, in Colombia and Mexico.

Arco Berkenbosch, Vice President of Development and Innovation at Smurfit Kappa, will be addressing the impact of current market trends in the packaging industry at the event. He said:

“These events provide us with the unique opportunity of engaging with our stakeholders in a ground-breaking exchange of innovative ideas and solutions, building the future of packaging together.”

Marcela Liscano, Vice President of Pan-American Sales at Smurfit Kappa, added: “As a customer centric company, Smurfit Kappa acknowledges close customer interaction as an effective method for improving our packaging solutions, while jointly succeeding in the marketplace.”

The event will take place at the Four Seasons Hotel in Irving, Texas, close to the new Smurfit Kappa Experience Center.
